About the Artist: Yukiko Saito lives and works in Tokyo, Japan. She specializes in tea ware and primarily works with black and white Japanese stoneware and Amakusa Kumamoto porcelain. Yukiko studied under the guidance of Master Potter Takashi Nakazoto (the son of Muan Nakazoto who is considered a national treasure in Japan.) She creates pieces for chefs and tea houses all over Japan and has been working with Dóttir’s sister store, artéfact, since 2020.
